ARTS AND CULTURAL PLAN

The Arts and Cultural Plan provides a strategic framework for how the City of Parramatta can utilise its cultural 'resources' to make Parramatta a better place to live, work, visit and invest in.

The plan sets out information about the many and diverse cultures of Parramatta and its neighbourhoods, and provides specific recommendations for the further development of arts and cultural activity in Parramatta. Council utilises this planning document to ensure that all opportunities to combine, artform areas, the development of new cultural facilities, the planning and implementation of community cultural development activity, and the commissioning or contracting of artists and performers can be done in a way that best value can be gained.

Council is committed to a sustainable cultural community, and aims to use the recommendations from the Arts and Cultural Plan to achieve sustainable and innovative arts programs and project.
