The artist's vision is a very special one. Margaret Woodward shares her inner vision as it has developed through her life, her personal responses and experiences of the human condition - the dark and the light. Woodward says:

Indeed, whatever one does in a really creative sense, has to be as a means of exploring what one understands about oneself, and the world one lives within … the external world is internalised, one finds out about one's capacities of perception, and more than this, - the working of one's mind - by making oneself aware, developing those understandings.
