The Parramatta Heritage & Visitor Information Centre has a gift shop which sells handcrafted and unique products and souvenirs of Parramatta.
Individually designed plates, platters and vases by Marilyn Press display unique scenes of historic Parramatta such as Old Government House, the Lennox Bridge and the Town Hall, as well as scenes inspired by Danny Eastwood's painting
Parramatta River 2001. Each piece is a one-off and exclusive to the Parramatta Heritage Centre. Prices start from $95.00 for a plate and vase and $185 for a large platter.
There are also handcrafted ceramic square plates designed by Aleida Pullar, featuring Danny Eastwood's painting Parramatta River 2001 which is featured in our permanent exhibition: Parramatta: People & Place. They are available in both small ($19.50) and large ($38.50), and in turquoise or white colour.
Convict Love Token Trinket Boxes especially designed for the Parramatta Heritage Centre are available in Huon Pine or Sassafras, with an engraved token made from Artesian Pewter, based on those created by convicted Britons before their transportation to Australia in the 18th & 19th centuries. Exclusive to the Parramatta Heritage Centre and priced at $35.00.
The Parramatta Heritage Centre also has hand-dyed silk scarves, done by a local artist, made from luxurious China Silk in rich vibrant colours available in square and rectangular. Priced at $37.50. We have an interesting selection of local and Australiana history books plus outdoors and holidaying books.
